WebSep 7, 2024 · To my surprise it was the same problem, the linear high limit temperature control. And it did not come on later, it must be just bust again. No visual damage though. On the same circuit is another baseboard which works just fine. No fuse issue (panel). Voltmeter reads 220V at the baseboard WebBehind the fan/high limit switch is a metal spiral ribbon. As the heat exchanger gets hot it causes the spiral ribbon to straighten. This causes the dial to turn this activating the fan on set point. Once the call for heat has been removed and the gas valve is turned off, the ribbon will cool rotating the dial to the fan off set point.
